In the room it should be prohibited smoking, because it can really make nervous players who try to focus strongly on the game. It is at least good idea to think about separated area for smokers and for nonsmokers.
If it is possible the staff should be professional to prevent to accidents as bailed drinks to playing tables and so on. Beside this it is not good feeling, if you want some drink and barman can not make it.
Regarding to music, the best solution is choose very quiet and slow music or turn it off.
